QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork is seeking a junior to mid-level C++ Developer to contribute to the design and validation workflows for next-generation CAD/EDA tools. The role focuses on developing and maintaining C++ software used in chip validation and emulation, with opportunities to learn from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD is a plus; exposure to CAD/EDA tools and VLSI concepts is advantageous.

This role will include:

• Develop and maintain C++ software and automation used in chip validation and emulation flows.

• Debug software/tool issues with support from senior engineers and domain experts.

• Contribute enhancements to existing CAD/EDA tools, methodologies and automation flows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to learn design, validation and emulation workflows

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.

• 0–2+ years of relevant software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Must-have

• Strong foundation in C++ programming.

• Understanding of data structures and basic algorithms.

• Ability to debug software issues methodically.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics

• Exposure to VLSI design concepts, logic design

• Preferred programming experience with Python

• Exposure to modern C++, such as C++11, C++17, or C++20.

• Python scripting experience.

• Exposure to CAD/EDA tools, VLSI concepts, logic design, or chip validation workflows.

• Background in mathematics, algorithms, or performance-oriented software.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
