Job summary

Interactive Displays Ireland is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead AV and installations from survey to handover, coordinating installation teams, subcontractors and customer stakeholders.

Role requires hands‑on expertise in AV, mounting, cabling and IP networking, with strong organisational skills to manage multiple sites, budgets and timelines. Travel to customer sites is expected as part of multisite rollouts.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in AV installation or related field.
• Experience managing installation projects and teams or subcontractors.
• Strong practical understanding of fixings, mounting, cabling and site sequencing.
• Good knowledge of AV connectivity, structured cabling and IP networking.
• Ability to interpret site drawings and technical specs.
• Experience coordinating multiple jobs with competing deadlines.
• Strong communication with customers, contractors and senior management.
• Comfortable with travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of installation projects after sales handover, confirming scope, deadlines and budgets.
• Conduct site surveys and identify mounting, power, networking, cabling and equipment needs.
• Maintain a central schedule for live and upcoming jobs and allocate resources.
• Ensure crews have equipment, drawings, and information before departure.
• Coordinate with customers, builders, electricians and IT teams to prepare sites.
• Lead installation teams on site and resolve practical or technical issues.
• Assist with fitting, configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting as needed.
• Track labour, materials, travel and subcontractor costs and flag overruns.
• Identify scope changes and secure approvals for additional work.
• Oversee quality, safety, commissioning and system testing.
