Job summary

Amgen Dun Laoghaire seeks a Sr Automation Engineer to own automation assets in a GMP setting, leading lifecycle maintenance, validation, and change controls. You will support operations with troubleshooting, incident investigations, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, data integration, and digital twin initiatives while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in automation, electrical, or related life science engineering with industry experience.
• Experience with automation design, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11).
• Experience with PLC/HMI systems and SCADA environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as System Owner for automation assets in GMP manufacturing.
• Provide on-the-floor and remote support during production, shutdowns, and tech transfers.
• Lead CAPAs, changes, deviations, and change controls for automation systems.
• Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives, data integration and digital twin projects.
