Job summary

Elgin Energy in Ireland seeks a commercially minded Senior Project Finance Associate to manage the group’s financing structure as projects progress from late-stage development to construction, operations and beyond. Qualifications

• 3-5 years' relevant experience in project finance, corporate finance, infrastructure, renewable energy finance, investment banking, transaction services or a comparable role.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a good understanding of project finance structures and financing processes.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines and reporting requirements simultaneously.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, lenders, advisers and external counterparties.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for improvement, exercise sound commercial judgement and take ownership of outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of Elgin's financing structure, including utilisation requests, lender reporting, covenant compliance and facility administration.
• Maintain clear control over financed costs, approved budgets, supporting documentation and project-level audit trails across the portfolio.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Development and Delivery teams to support projects through construction, into operations and beyond, ensuring ongoing compliance with financing requirements.
• Develop and maintain project and portfolio-level financial models, funding forecasts and performance analysis to support effective capital deployment and decision-making.
• Contribute to future debt raises, refinancing initiatives and financing optimisation opportunities, while supporting the continued development and enhancement of Elgin's financing platform.

We are seeking a commercially minded and well-organised Senior Project Finance Associate to help manage Elgin's existing financing structure and support projects as they progress from late-stage development through construction, into operations and beyond. This is a hands-on operational finance role, responsible for utilisation processes, lender reporting, covenant compliance, cost control and maintaining a robust financing framework across the portfolio.

The role also provides valuable exposure to future debt raising and refinancing initiatives, giving the successful candidate an opportunity to contribute directly to Elgin's continued growth and capital deployment strategy. The successful candidate will bring a practical, forward-thinking approach, helping to strengthen processes, enhance reporting and drive continuous improvement across the function.
