Job summary

Stantec in Ireland seeks a Senior Ecologist to lead our growing Ecology team on major infrastructure and development projects. You will mentor ecologists, shape ecological strategies, and deliver high-quality assessments and reports across the project lifecycle.

Working with planning, engineering and environmental specialists, you’ll drive stakeholder engagement, contribute to tendering and fee proposals, and represent the firm at hearings where required while championing biodiversity and

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Full Membership of CIEEM.
• Chartered Ecologist.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering complex ecological assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of ecologists.
• Deliver EcIA, PEA, NIS and EIAR chapters and other reports.
• Provide expert ecological advice across the project lifecycle.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders and represent Stantec at meetings/hearings when required.
