Job summary

Citi Dublin is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead to drive platform modernization and transform core legacy systems. You will lead end-to-end development, ensure architectural alignment, and mentor senior engineers.

The role requires 10+ years of senior engineering leadership, expertise in Java, Spring Boot and Angular, and a track record of delivering complex projects in a hybrid, business-facing environment. This is a full-time Dublin-based position with a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience as a Senior Engineering Lead.
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications.
• AI utilisation expertise and prompt engineering qualification.
• Strong proficiency: Java, Spring Boot, Angular.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• SME in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Senior Engineering Lead who is proficient in leading out teams and has a delivery focused mindset.
• Experienced in the understanding and utilisation of AI tooling to drive productivity and development acceleration.
• Full technical capability with full stack development credentials.
• Drive decisions for design and architectural adoption.
• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure integration of functions to meet goals and define necessary system enhancements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design adheres to architecture blueprint.
• Utilise knowledge of system flow and develop coding, testing, debugging and implementation standards.
• Develop knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
