Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar security role is required.
  • Knowledge of fire detection systems, Health & Safety, and Food Safety regulations is necessary.
  • Willingness to obtain First Aid & AED qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

Job Introduction

Security Officer

Location: Newbridge, Kildare

Shifts: 4 on 4 off, days and nights

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: €16.80 per hour

About The Role

We are recruiting a Security & Emergency Response Officer to join our team at Little Connell. This role involves delivering high-quality security services, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets, while also supporting the facilities team when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out static guarding and gatehouse duties, enforcing site security procedures.
  • Operate and monitor CCTV and fire life safety systems.
  • Respond to emergencies, alarms, and site notifications in line with standard procedures.
  • Provide first aid assistance during on-site incidents.
  • Manage visitor access, issue security passes, and maintain accurate logs.
  • Support reception duties, including handling phone calls.
  • Conduct safety checks, hazard reporting, and incident investigations.
  • Assist with evacuations and liaise with emergency services when required.
  • Maintain professionalism, customer service standards, and compliance with all site rules.
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid PSA licence.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of fire detection systems, Health & Safety, and Food Safety regulations.
  • First Aid & AED qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Previous security experience in a similar role.
  • Strong customer service, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts, holidays, and sickness where needed.
