Job summary

Sulzer Ireland is seeking a commercially driven Sales Engineer to bridge between customers and our engineering capability, focusing on water and wastewater across Ireland. This remote role lets you manage your schedule and deliver service and aftermarket growth nationwide.

You will build strong relationships with utilities, contractors and partners, identify opportunities for maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits, and drive revenue with a solid pipeline while based in the Republic of

Qualifications

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, water or related engineering.
• Proven experience in field-based sales, service, or customer-facing engineering.
• Strong communication with ability to influence and build trust.
• Proactive, self-motivated mindset with growth ambition.
• Understanding of municipal water sector is beneficial.

• Develop and grow Service & Aftermarket business across municipal Water & Wastewater markets.
• Build long-lasting relationships with utilities, contractors, consultants and partners.
• Identify opportunities for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements.
• Conduct site visits and troubleshoot customer challenges.
• Collaborate with local service centre and Sulzer network to deliver outstanding customer experience.
• Drive revenue and margin through proactive account management and pipeline development.

You will:

• Develop and grow Service & Aftermarket business across municipal Water & Wastewater markets and selected industrial sectors
• Build strong, long‑lasting relationships with utilities, contractors, consultants, and framework partners
• Identify opportunities for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, replacement pumping solutions, and performance optimisation
• Conduct site visits, troubleshoot customer challenges, and recommend the right engineering solution
• Work closely with our local service centre and wider Sulzer network to deliver outstanding customer experience
• Drive revenue and margin growth through proactive account management and strong pipeline development

What you bring

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, water, wastewater, or related engineering disciplines
• Proven experience in a field‑based sales, service, or customer‑facing engineering role
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trust
• A proactive, self‑motivated mindset—and the ambition to help build a high‑growth territory
• Understanding of the municipal water sector is highly beneficial
