Job summary

Smyths Toys in Tralee is seeking Sales Assistants to join our Superstores team. You will deliver high levels of customer service and actively assist customers in a fast-paced retail environment. You will thrive in a dynamic team, contribute to store cleanliness, stock packing, price changes, and till duties.

The role supports a 7-day-a-week operation with a temporary contract and competitive hourly pay. Training on our products and customer service excellence is provided.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is desirable, especially in nursery, software & gaming, or backroom/warehouse.
• Flexibility to work across 7 days.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team.

About The Role

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of €14.25 per hour for over 20 and €13.00 per hour for under 20.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Pack shelves and merchandise
• Work delivery and complete price changes
• Work on the tills

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Nursery
• Software & Gaming
• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.
