Job summary

SSO Personnel is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to join our team in Co. Cork. The role involves responding to roadside callouts, diagnosing faults, and carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs across a range of vehicles.

You will need QQI Level 6 in Motor Mechanics, a valid B driving licence, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset. The position offers independence and the chance to deliver high-quality roadside support throughout the region.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Motor Mechanics (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and repairs, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Full B category driving licence (BE category is an advantage).
• Excellent communication skills with a calm and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown callouts and perform accurate roadside diagnostics and repairs.
• Communicate with internal support teams to coordinate service delivery.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, professionalism, and customer service.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use.
