Job summary

Dunnes Stores Ongar is seeking a proactive Loss Prevention Officer to support the store's security and safety. You will be the visible security presence, deter theft, and coordinate with store staff using radios. The role requires flexibility to cover shifts across multiple locations and evenings.

Candidate must be PSA licensed, well-organised and capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is provided, and the team focuses on protecting customers and colleagues while

Qualifications

• PSA licence is required.
• Experience with CCTV systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using IT systems and computers.
• Confident communicator with store teams, Gardaí and customers.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive customer experience as a visible presence at entrance doors and on the shop floor.
• Communicate with store team about suspicious behaviour using in-store radios.
• Deter and prevent anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
• Identify high-risk areas and act as a deterrent on the shop floor.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly security checklists.
• Engage with store management to ensure security SOPs are followed.
• Be flexible to work across multiple store locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager/Loss Prevention Manager, including out-of-hours surveillance and auditing.
• Complete searches as per policy.
• Report suspicious activity to Store Manager/Loss Prevention Manager
