Excel Recruitment is partnering with a Cork retailer to recruit an Assistant Manager for a high-volume store in the Republic of Ireland. Salary is EUR37,000–EUR40,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits. This role offers leadership development, a busy trading environment and a strong focus on customer experience.

The successful candidate will lead teams, drive sales, maintain merchandising standards and ensure health and safety compliance in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or Team Leader role.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of a high-volume retail store.
• Lead, motivate and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Drive sales performance and achieve store and departmental targets.
• Ensure merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Monitor stock levels and support stock management processes.
• Manage operational challenges.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development.
• Ensure health and safety and compliance standards are maintained.
