Job summary

The Talbot Group is seeking a dedicated Person in Charge to lead an Adult Residential Disability Service in Navan. The role oversees service delivery, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality, person-centred care for residents.

Applicants should have a QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or related discipline, with at least three years in management and a formal health-care management qualification. A supportive employer offers training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or related Allied Healthcare discipline.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a management or supervisory role in Health or Social Care.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall management of the Service and staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and Talbot Group policies.
• Report on and respond to complaints in line with policies.
• Provide mentorship and leadership – supervision, appraisals, team meetings.
• Coordinate and prioritise appointments with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain high quality of life through person-centred care plans and health promotion.
• Support residents in exercising choice and access to advocates and supports.
• Regularly review and update care plans per regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in the profession and pursue ongoing professional development.
