Job summary

DB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a growing technology business. This is a remote position suited to a senior engineer with strong Java experience combined with hands-on Angular and AWS expertise.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, building modern applications and APIs while contributing to technical design, architecture and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial software development experience.
• Strong development experience with Java.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework.
• Strong commercial experience with Angular.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development and software design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of automated testing and software quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Build and deploy applications within AWS cloud environments.
• Contribute to application architecture and technical design decisions.
• Develop clean, maintainable and well-tested production code.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex application and production issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA and other engineering teams.
• Mentor less experienced developers and provide technical guidance.
