Job summary

LastPass, Inc. is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Engineer to drive secure-by-design in our cloud platforms. You will partner with DevOps, CI/CD, and architects to embed security across the infrastructure and product development.

You will define cloud security principles, implement controls, and stay ahead of threats. This role requires hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC experience, plus strong communication and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with AWS and AWS security services in a production environment.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to shift security left.
• Infrastructure as code experience (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform).
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container security; familiarity with CI/CD tooling.
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, TLS, VPN).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive cloud security principles, standards, and reference architectures across the organization.
• Help engineers build and securely operate products and services from the ground up.
• Assess, design, and implement security processes to meet compliance and audit requirements.
• Perform proactive research to identify new threats and attack vectors.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed shift-left security practices across the SDLC.
• Implement and manage cloud and Kubernetes security posture tooling to reduce risk across workloads.
