Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland is seeking an experienced C++ Developer for a fully remote permanent role based in Ireland. You will develop, maintain and enhance backend systems using C++ and contribute to scalable APIs and distributed architectures.

Success requires 3+ years in software engineering, strong knowledge of Linux, relational databases, and cloud technologies (AWS). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, remote environment and participate in CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in software engineering with strong hands-on C++ development.
• Backend Systems and RESTful APIs experience.
• Strong SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Ability to work remotely in a distributed team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in agile or fast-paced tech environments.
• Cloud familiarity, especially AWS.
• Containerisation with Docker or ECS.
• Exposure to Golang, PHP, or Python.
• Networking concepts including HTTP, TCP/IP, TLS.
• Frontend HTML/CSS exposure would be advantageous.
• Interest in cloud, automation, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend software using C++ and related technologies.
• Contribute to scalable APIs and distributed systems design.
• Support production systems for high transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance issues affecting platform and clients.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and CI processes.
• Work in Linux-based environments to deploy and monitor applications.
• Contribute to automation initiatives across the SDLC.
