Job summary

ElevenLabs is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and scale safety systems for AI agents across its products. You will own production infrastructure, deploy ML models, and build backend services that support moderation, abuse detection and policy enforcement.

The role offers a remote or office-based arrangement with global collaboration across Product, Legal and Safety Policy. Strong backend, Python and cloud experience are essential to succeed in this high-impact position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.

Responsibilities

• Build safety systems: design, develop, and scale automated moderation systems, abuse detection capabilities, and guardrails for AI agents.
• Respond to emerging threats: partner with Investigations team to identify abuse patterns and improve safety systems.
• Own production infrastructure: build and maintain internal safety services with architecture, deployment, reliability, monitoring.
• Bring ML models into production: deploy and integrate fine-tuned and proprietary ML models into production safety systems.
• Build end-to-end solutions: develop backend services, APIs, internal tools and user-facing interfaces for moderation and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal and Safety Policy teams to translate requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Shape our technical direction: contribute to architectural decisions and evolving safety infrastructure.
