Accounting Professionals - AI Training

The role

We’re looking for Accountant Subject Matter Experts to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate cutting‑edge AI models using professional accounting insight. If you have an accounting background, we’ll send you a quick 10‑ to 15‑minute test to assess your skills and suitability for AI tasks. If successful, you’ll be invited to join Prolific’s Accounting Projects as a participant, where you’ll get paid to train and evaluate powerful AI models.

Researchers looking for your skills tend to pay between up to $60 per hour depending on skills and experience level. You must be prepared to complete paid tasks that require one hour of uninterrupted work, though many are shorter.

What you’ll bring

• Accounting Background: you have an accounting degree, professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA etc.), or relevant experience as an accountant.
• Attention to Detail: the ability to review complex documentation and identify key nuances or inaccuracies.
• Critical Thinking: an "accounting mind" capable of providing logical, fact‑based reasoning to support your answers.
• Reliability: the ability to work independently on ad hoc, remote assignments that fit around your existing commitments.
• A PayPal account to receive payment from our clients.

What you’ll be doing in the role

• Document Evaluation: reviewing complex financial statements, audit reports, and regulatory filings to ensure data integrity.
• AI Model Guidance: answering specific questions based on document content to help AI models understand technical or formal language.
• Fact‑Checking & Validation: ensuring that the outputs generated by AI systems align with professional standards and logical accounting frameworks.
• Knowledge Sharing: providing expert feedback to help bridge the gap between human expertise and machine learning.
