Job summary

Curam Care Homes is recruiting a Relief Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant to join our care team at Oakfield Nursing Home. You will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, supporting infection control practices and our policies.

Working as part of a team and autonomously when needed, you will communicate clearly with colleagues and residents, handle laundry duties, and ensure rooms and equipment are well presented.

Qualifications

• Training will be provided.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Clear communication with colleagues and residents.
• Maintain highest level of cleanliness when dealing with residents.
• Good level of verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels of all equipment and supplies.
• Liaise with Housekeeping & Laundry Manager/Director of Nursing.
• Ensure residents' rooms are clean and tidy to a high standard.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines at all times.
• Work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary team and report incidents.
• Ensure clothes are labeled and delivered to residents.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring, audits and meetings as scheduled.
• Wash, dry and fold laundry; sort by whites/colors; ensure correct temperatures.
