Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking Relief Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our agency pool across South Tipperary, Ireland. This role offers flexible shifts in healthcare, disability, and residential care settings, ideal for supplementing income or gaining varied experience.

Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 Major Award (or equivalent), have good weekly availability, and be willing to obtain Garda Vetting and basic certifications where required. Driving licence is a plus.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules/120 credits) in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, Health Service Skills, Community Health Services or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare, disability or residential care experience desirable.
• Good weekly availability for roster shifts.
• Flexibility to work days, nights and weekends.
• Three satisfactory employment references.
• Garda Vetting or willingness to complete the process.
• Current Manual Handling and CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to complete required training.
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional approach.
• Full driving licence desirable for certain services.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare assistance across agency settings including healthcare, disability and residential care services.
• Support clients with daily living activities and personal care as required.
• Adapt to varying shifts and rosters, including days, nights and weekends.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, families and care teams.
