Job summary

Samsic Facility in Galway, Ireland, is seeking a Cleaning Operative – Relief/Cover to work on site from 8:30am to 5:00pm. This temporary role covers given dates and reports to the Area Manager.

You will perform cleaning tasks, maintain hygiene, and follow health and safety requirements on client sites. English proficiency and eligibility to work in Ireland are essential.

Qualifications

• English language skills: able to speak, understand, and write in English.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland is essential.
• Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, and ensuring all areas are clean and tidy (including toilets).
• Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces if required.
• Empty bins and dispose of rubbish.
• Undertake tasks as instructed by the Area Manager.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements on client sites and company premises.
• Handle client property with care.

Cover Dates: Tuesday, 27th October to Friday, 30th October 2026

Training: Friday, 23rd October 2026
