Job summary

AGS Recruitment is seeking a compassionate Registered General Nurse for immediate full-time and part-time agency shifts in Kerry and nearby areas. You will deliver safe, person-centred nursing care, administer medications, document observations, and work within HIQA and NMBI standards.

The role requires experience in residential, elderly, or disability care settings and an active NMBI PIN, right to work in Ireland, up-to-date vaccinations, and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Active NMBI PIN and registration.
• Right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship provided).
• Required clinical vaccinations up to date.
• Minimum of 6-12 months of post-registration nursing experience (preferred).
• Full driving licence (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care in HIQA and NMBI standards.
• Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and monitor health status.
• Document and report clinical observations, incidents, or changes in condition.
• Support and supervise healthcare assistants and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure infection prevention, health and safety, and best practice compliance.
• Promote dignity, respect, and independence in all care interactions.
