RecruitmentPlus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN) for a private ophthalmic clinic in Sandyford, Dublin 18. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, 37.5 hours per week, and a supportive team.

Responsibilities include clinical duties with ophthalmic diagnostic testing, virtual pre-consultations, theatre scrubbing, day-of-surgery management, consent, discharge instructions, and documentation.

Competenze

• Active NMBI registration (RGN) is required.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ophthalmic experience is advantageous but not essential.

Mansioni

Registered Nurse required for private clinic, Sandyford, Dublin 18

Our client is a well-established, busy private specialist clinic and surgical centre in South Dublin.

The clinic is very well supported by a large administrative, nursing and technician team.

The role is a full-time permanent position, Mon – Fri with approx. 1 Saturday every 1 - 2 mths

Hours: 37.5 hour week. Clinic is closed on Sundays and bank holidays

Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications

Pension, 23 days AL plus additional service days accrued for future leave years up to a max of 27 days, Staff Parking

Duties:

Clinical duties and responsibilities

• Working as part of the Nursing/ Technician team to perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing on patients as part of clinical work ups for consultations at the clinic.
• Working as part of the Nursing/ Technician team to complete virtual consultations with patients to capture motivations for surgery, medical history, visual needs etc prior to their consultation with the Surgeon.

Theatre duties and responsibilities

• Scrubbing for surgery procedures performed in the dedicated theatre at the clinic.
• Management of patients on the day of surgery (consent discussion, medication management, counselling on postoperative instructions, completion of slit lamp examinations as part of discharging patients).
• Assist the surgeon in theatre for minor procedures.
• Assist with the documentation of procedures.

Administrative duties and responsibilities

Requirements:

• Active NMBI registration (RGN)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ophthalmic experience is an advantage but not essential
