Job summary

ChildVision seeks a regional Low Vision Lead to drive the development and delivery of a regional Low Vision Centre in HSE South-West. You will work with the Cork Services Manager and national team to ensure consistent, high-quality services for children and families across the region.

The role emphasises leadership, service development and collaboration with families, schools, hospitals and other agencies to improve outcomes for children with visual impairment.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership, service management and/or service development.
• Strong communication, organisational and partnership-working skills.
• Understanding of quality improvement, governance and risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and professional leadership for the regional Low Vision Centre in HSE South-West.
• Lead regional service planning, development and implementation.
• Manage referrals, caseloads and waiting lists; ensure timely access to assessment and intervention.
• Oversee delivery of Low Vision assessment, intervention and family/school support; develop partnerships with families and schools.
