Job Description

This role requires Refrigeration Technicians to design, install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems at Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited facilities in Roscommon, Cork and Dublin.

• Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited, Annacarton Bridge, Glanmire, Co. Cork
• Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited, Old Naas Road, Kingswood, Dublin 22

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and maintenance of refrigeration devices for buildings and vehicles.
• Ensure equipment complies with environmental standards and safety precautions.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot refrigeration and cooling systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing to preserve system efficiency and safety compliance.
• Work with various refrigeration equipment, including cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Handle refrigerants safely in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including repair reports and documentation.

Requirements & Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a refrigeration technician (installation, maintenance, repair).
• Refrigeration Technician certification/training preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of refrigeration parts, hydraulics, mechanical engineering, refrigerants, and thermodynamics.
• Skills in applying health and safety standards, routine machinery checks, and environmental legislation.
• Experience handling refrigerant transfer pumps and interpreting 2D & 3D plans.
• Ability to maintain maintenance records, monitor utility equipment, and use testing equipment.
• Experience draining hazardous liquids, installing refrigeration ducts, and resolving equipment malfunctions.
• Proficiency with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Remuneration

Annual remuneration: €34,881.60 (approximately €16.77 per hour) for 40 hours per week.
