Job summary

Barna Recycling in Athlone is seeking General Operatives to join our depot team. The role involves yard and wash bay work within a fast-paced environment and requires handling recyclables and operating plant equipment.

Candidates should have experience in similar settings, be flexible with shifts, and hold tickets for 360 grab and Teleporter. The position is fixed-term with occasional Saturdays/public holidays, offering varied shifts and opportunities to contribute to safe, efficient recycling

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar recycling/waste environment is an advantage.
• Willingness to work varying shifts to meet business needs.
• Good communication and team collaboration are essential.
• Tickets for plant machinery (360 Grab and Teleporter) are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process recyclables delivered to the yard and sheds.
• Communicate plant and vehicle maintenance or safety issues.
• Identify and report materials affecting recycling quality.
• Operate plant and equipment as directed.
• Support waste transfer station and recycling facility operations.
• Perform duties safely and efficiently to maximise recycling.
• Clean bins returned to the depot by logistics.
• Carry out other duties as required.
