DataVisor is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to help build our next-generation real-time detection platform. You will lead the architecture for streaming, storage, and training pipelines that power fraud detection at scale.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical execution, and partner with product and customer-facing teams to ensure high-precision systems. This role suits someone who loves solving distributed systems challenges in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership experience as tech lead or similar.
• Deep production experience with Java; working proficiency in Python and Shell.
• Experience designing, building, shipping, and operating distributed real-time systems at scale.
• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; EU Citizen or Ireland PR.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of the real-time detection platform, including streaming, storage, and training pipelines.
• Translate roadmaps into clear technical plans, milestones, and execution priorities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs before delivery.
• Lead design and architecture reviews and document decisions.
• Stay hands-on by coding, reviewing code, and supporting production incidents.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar for system design and operational excellence.
• Own the health of the platform, including alert quality and incident follow-through.
• Collaborate with Product, TAM, and customer-facing teams on impact assessment and next steps.
