Job summary

Kerry Group in Naas, Ireland, is seeking an RD&A Technologist to lead customer-focused meat innovation from concept to commercialization. You will work directly with customers and cross-functional teams across Europe to deliver novel meat solutions.

The role requires a degree in Food Science or related discipline, hands-on lab/pilot/factory experience, and strong collaboration and communication skills, with travel across Europe expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Food Science or related discipline is required.
• Experience in product development within meat technologies is essential.
• Strong understanding of meat ingredients, processing and manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory, pilot plant and factory environments is expected.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills are needed.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident in presenting technical information and product concepts to customers.
• Collaborative, proactive approach with willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer and internal RD&A projects, delivering innovative meat solutions.
• Build strong relationships with customers and collaborate with their R&D teams.
• Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Business Development, Portfolio and Technical teams to deliver outcomes.
• Plan and execute laboratory, pilot plant and factory trials, including reporting and recommendations.
• Support customer factory trials across Europe when required.
• Assess and validate new ingredients and raw materials to support innovation and cost optimisation.
• Manage laboratory raw materials, stock control and traceability documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide regular updates on priorities and progress.
