Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to work on a railway infrastructure project at Longford Railway Station, delivering accessibility upgrades for Irish Rail. The role focuses on setting out, site surveys, and coordination with management and subcontractors on trackside and civils works.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and at least 2 years of site engineering experience in Ireland or the UK, with strong setting out skills and proficiency in

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years’ Site Engineering experience in Ireland or the UK.
Strong setting out skills essential.
Proficient in GPS and Total Station.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

Carry out setting out using GPS and Total Station.
Oversee station accessibility upgrades, trackside works and associated civils.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site plans.
Complete site surveys, measurements and as-built records.
Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Assist with QA/QC documentation and site inspections.
Ensure works meet safety, quality and programme requirements.
