Carbery Group in Ballineen, County Cork, is seeking a hands-on R&D candidate to work on our pilot plant and lab scale projects. You will test and develop new recipes, processes and technologies, building data and knowledge to transfer to operations.
Responsibilities span material sourcing, product manufacture, data recording, product testing, sample management and supporting CI/Health & Safety practices. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will work as part of the R&D team to deliver our R&D programme objectives. The person will test and develop new recipes, processes and technology assessments providing new protypes for evaluation internally or externally in the marketplace. They will build up data and knowledge on new products, processes and technology as part of the R&D evaluations and use this knowledge in the subsequent transfer of new products and processes to operations team. This person will be manufacturing/ testing products at pilot plant and/or lab scale. This person may also be asked from time to time to support other R&D activities as part of the R&D function.
Food Processing qualification or equivalent experience. Previous or relevant experience in Operations or R&D role an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided in the role.
