Job summary

European Tech Recruit is recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer to join an innovative engineering company’s R&D team in Ireland. The role focuses on designing and developing control software, implementing Function Block Diagram logic, and tuning PID loops across next‑generation products.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Automation/Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics and 3+ years in industrial control systems, with strong problem‑solving and communication skills to collaborate across

Qualifications

Degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline.
3+ years' experience in industrial control systems or automation engineering.
Strong understanding of control theory and PID tuning.
Experience developing and troubleshooting control software.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and optimise control software for new and existing products.
Develop Function Block Diagram (FBD) control logic and operating sequences.
Configure and tune PID control loops to optimise system performance.
Integrate sensors, actuators, drives and controllers into complete control systems.
Support prototype testing, validation and troubleshooting activities.
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Produce technical documentation and support continuous product improvements.
