Virtu Financial is seeking Quant Trading Interns for a 10‑week summer programme in Dublin, onsite. You will work with senior traders on real trading and quantitative problems, gaining exposure to market making and the firm’s trading technology.

We welcome top performers with strong math skills, programming experience (Python/SQL/Java/C++) and a drive to excel. The programme includes a global training week, mentorship, and social events.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic background (all subjects welcome).
• Outstanding quantitative problem‑solving skills and mathematical aptitude.
• Some programming experience is required (Python, SQL, Java or C++ are a plus).
• A physicalizer; a person who identifies issues and creates solutions without rigid direction or fanfare.
• Highly motivated and tenacious individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team.
• Team player: authentic, genuine person who is capable of working collective goals.
• Graduating year of 2028.

Responsibilities

• Design, operation and improvement of high‑performance algorithmic trading strategies deployed on electronic trading venues worldwide.
• Work with quants and software engineers to enhance and develop trading strategies.
• Interns will work with senior traders on varied projects; apply quantitative analysis to trading problems as they arise.
• Gain hands-on experience in market making and learn Virtu's trading technology.
