Job summary

SIG Susquehanna is seeking highly motivated full-time students for a 10-week quantitative strategy development summer internship at our EU Headquarters in Dublin. You will work on signal creation, quantitative analysis, and low-latency C++ strategy development with senior developers.

Education in a STEM/quantitative field, strong Python and data-library skills, and a passion for problem solving are required. Rolling intake for 2027 cohort.

Overview

Susquehanna is looking for highly motivated full-time students for our 10-week quantitative strategy development summer internship program based at our EU Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.

This is a computationally intensive role that will allow you to use your strong technical skills to solve problems at the intersection of trading, quant and technology.

Throughout the summer, you will receive education about how markets work by going through a deep dive into financial markets and Susquehanna's approach to trading. You will also work on challenging projects for our trading strategy development teams in spaces such as signal creation and detection, quantitative strategy analysis, and low latency C++ strategy development. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects side by side with senior developers who understand the nuances of building complex trading strategies.

Our quantitative strategy developers are part of our high-performing team that builds some of the most powerful trading systems in the finance industry. This is a computationally intensive role that will allow you to utilize both your data analysis and technology skills.

What we're looking for

• Class of 2028: You are a master’s or bachelor’s student in their penultimate year of study, majoring in a quantitative and/or STEM discipline such ascomputer science, computer engineering, mathematics or data science for example. You intend to graduate and begin full time employment by August 2028.
• Clear Communicator: You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with and are comfortable sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts, and listening to the views of others.
• Ambitious: You’re someone that enjoys setting personal goals and giving your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics, or another passion; you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
• Technically Proficient: Strong software development skills in (Python and a compiled language). Experience and comfort working with data using libraries such as Pandas, Polars, or NumPy. You will have exceptional quantitative, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
• Problem Solver: When it comes tosolving problems, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational and like to use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions.

We hire for our QSD internship on a rolling basis. There are limited places on our 2027 QSD internship.

Interview process

The interview process for this role will be a series of interviews including coding, mathematics, system design and behavioural interviews.

Duration

Our summer internship is 10 weeks and runs from late June to late August.
