What you need to know

Our client, a leader in cooked foods processing, is seeking a Quality Manager for their Cavan facility. This is a 12-month maternity contract and will be the number two in the Site Operations team. Ensuring production requirements are met focusing on food safety and quality.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and maintain Food Safety & Quality Management Systems, including HACCP, BRC, and Bord Bia PQAS standards.
• Manage high-risk food production processes, canning operations, and laboratory activities.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, liaising with DAFF and other authorities.
• Oversee raw material and stock controls, product specifications, and customer quality expectations.
• Lead internal audits, corrective/preventative actions, and non-conformance management.
• Manage sanitation, hygiene, and environmental policies across the facility.
• Handle customer complaints, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate staff training, induction, and contractor compliance.

What we need from you

• Food science/quality orientated degree.
• Exposure to high-risk food production processes.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and regulatory compliance.
