Job summary

Fingleton White in Dublin is seeking a Quality & Environmental Coordinator to manage quality and environmental processes, document control, subcontractor approvals and EMS/IMS audits. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure ISO9001 and ISO14001 compliance across offices and sites, and work with the Business Support team to implement robust management systems.

The role requires hands-on auditing, cross-functional collaboration, and travel to sites; hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification or commensurate industry experience.
  • Experience in a similar role with ISO9001/ISO14001 emphasis.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and report on quality related activities and processes.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO9001.
  • Manage document control and maintain project document archives.
  • Review and manage subcontractor submissions and approvals for compliance.
  • Monitor environmental activities and coordinate EMS with ISO14001 standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits and follow up on findings.

Position:

The Role….

The Quality & Environmental Coordinator will work with Fingleton White’s Business Support team and will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of quality & environmental processes, document control, subcontractor approval and auditing. A key element of this role is to implement and integrate processes that impact and improve the company’s performance as well as driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management
  • Manage, monitor and report on quality related activities, processes and procedures
  • Manage the Co-ordination of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
  • Monitor processes to identify areas for improvement
Document Control
  • Manage and maintain all quality-related documentation ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Conduct periodic audits of document control systems to ensure effectiveness
  • Maintain both physical and digital archives of project documents
Subcontractor Approvals
  • Review and manage subcontractor submissions for compliance
  • Facilitate subcontractor approvals in collaboration with project managers and engineers
  • Ensure subcontractors meet quality standards and contractual obligations through regular evaluations
The Environment
  • Monitor and report on environmental related activities, processes and procedures
  • Manage the Co-ordination of the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Develop environmental KPIs and implement initiatives to reduce the firm’s environmental impact.
Auditing
  • Manage internal and external audits within the business
  • Perform regular quality and environmental audits across offices and projects to assess compliance with ISO standards.
  • Manage audits by external parties, including certification bodies or clients for our Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Follow up on audit findings to resolve issues and implement improvements promptly.

The location for this role will be in our Dublin office, there will be a requirement to travel to other sites as required. We will also consider applications for our Portlaoise office.

Requirements:

The Candidate….
  • A relevant qualification or commensurate industry experience with an alternative qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • A working knowledge of the international standard ISO9001 Quality Management & ISO14001 Environmental Management
  • Proficiency in Software systems with the ability to research and learn new systems when required.
  • Budgeting experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
