Job summary

CREGG in Athenry/ Galway area is seeking a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer to join a collaborative team on the production floor and in the office. This hands-on role offers varied duties and genuine career progression in a growing medical device environment.

The successful candidate will have medical device quality experience, a degree in Science or Engineering, and a strong PLC of problem-solving, communication, and organisation. ISO 13485 knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the medical device industry is essential.
• Qualification in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ideally 3–4 years' Quality Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in auditing, Lean or new product introductions would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting CAPA, non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.
• Working closely with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and drive improvements.
• Supporting QMS improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Participating in internal and external audits.
• Supporting validation, supplier quality and risk management activities.
• Providing quality support for new product introductions and transfers.
