Job summary

Russell Tobin is hiring a QC Microbiology Analyst to join our QC Microbiology Laboratory team in Ireland on a contract basis. You'll report to the QC Microbiology Manager and support product testing across the site, ensuring all activities comply with cGMP regulations.

Qualifications

• A Level 8 degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare laboratory or related technical role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Background in Microbiology and aseptic manufacturing is a plus (not essential).
• Sterility testing experience is a plus (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Perform Sterility testing on Drug Product samples.
• Conduct Bacterial Endotoxin Testing on Drug Product, Drug Substance, Raw Materials, and Utility samples within required hold times.
• Perform Bioburden testing on Drug Substance, Raw Materials, and Utility samples.
• Carry out Growth Promotion testing of incoming media lots.
• Identify microorganisms isolated during testing.
• Perform Minute Mouse Virus testing by PCR on in-process samples.
• Support compendial verification, method transfer/validation, and routine testing across in-process, drug substance, and drug product samples.
• Maintain accurate, timely laboratory documentation.
• Assist in authoring and reviewing SOPs and other documentation.
• Support other departments to help meet qualification and production schedules.
• Review batch paperwork and reconcile lab analysis.
• Uphold high standards of housekeeping and lab safety.
