Our client are currently recruting for a Quality Assurance Associate to support their QA function with the management and expansion of our site’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (QMS). As QA Associate you will, focus on expanding and implementing the QMS framework into new operational areas of the site, alongside supporting documentation, internal auditing, and CAPA systems. This is a permanent role with on site working.
Responsibilities:
- System Expansion & Auditing: Drive the expansion and implementation of our current Quality Management Systems into new areas of the site. Conduct regular internal audits, GMP inspections, and Food Safety walks to ensure total compliance with company policies and FSSC 22000 standards.
- Document Management: Act as an administrator for the Document Management system, managing the full suite of company documentation. Keep up to date with shifting regulatory requirements and implement necessary documentation updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and other departments to foster an integrated approach to quality, providing clear guidance to help teams understand and adopt quality standards.
- Training & Development: Assist in developing and delivering our Food Safety training program for new hires and existing employees. Train colleagues on proper documentation practices across all levels of the organization.
- Continuous Improvement (CAPA): Drive, monitor, and review corrective and preventative action (CAPA) processes to resolve non-conformances.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and third-party facility audit requirements (including regulatory and certification bodies).
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Quality Assurance, Food Science, or a related science discipline.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience within food industry quality control and quality assurance practices.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of QA systems, GMPs, and FSSC 22000 standards.
- Technical Skills: Experience creating procedural documents (SOPs). High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Core Competencies: Outstanding attention to detail, highly organized, and process-oriented. Proven ability to take charge of and execute projects independently while remaining a stellar cross-functional team player.
