Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a QC Sample Management Intern to join the QC Materials team at its Cruiserath facility in Dublin. The role supports the Sample Management Laboratory, in-process samples, retains and lab duties in line with cGMP regulations.

Reporting to the QC Sample Management Manager, you will work on sample logging, storage, monthly reconciliations, and SOP updates while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in a team-based collaborative environment.
• Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related discipline with at least 1 year of pharma/healthcare lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with manufacturing to ensure drug substance samples are processed and delivered on time.
• Coordinate with Engineering Stores for drug product samples handling and delivery.
• Manage TempTales and shipping documents for received samples.

Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking to recruit a QC Sample Management Intern to join the QC Materials team at its Multi-Product Cell Culture Drug Substance Facility in Cruiserath, Dublin. Reporting to the QC Sample Management Manager, they will be responsible for supporting site activities related to the Sample Management Laboratory, in-process samples, retains and laboratory duties in accordance with cGMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with manufacturing to ensure all Drug Substance samples are processed and delivered to the appropriate destination in an appropriate timeframe.
• Liaise with Engineering Stores to ensure all Drug Product samples are processed and delivered to the appropriate destination in an appropriate timeframe.
• Manage TempTales and shipping documents when receiving samples from external sites.
• Logging of samples to LIMS/CIMS or logbooks, and label accordingly.
• Storage of backups and reserve samples.
• Perform monthly reconciliation and report deviations to Sample Management Manager, if any.
• Support buffer preparation for the QC Separations lab
• Generate and update SOPs and other relevant documents as required.
• Maintain a high standard of GMP compliance including the completion and provision of training as required.
• Keeps abreast of current corporate and industry requirements and compliance trends as they pertain to laboratory operations and aseptic manufacturing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department and within the team
• Performing any other activities as indicated by the Lab Manager.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team based collaborative environment.
• The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of a third level qualification (Degree) in Chemistry/Biology or related discipline along with at least 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical / healthcare labora.

Compensation Overview: 2, 213.90 € per month Pay for this internship/co-op position is provided in accordance with local market practices and applicable laws. Pay may be offered as an hourly rate and/or monthly stipend, or other locally compliant structure. Pay is determined based on objective factors such as academic level, relevant experience, skills, and work location. Interns and co-op participants may be eligible for limited benefits depending on program structure, work location, and local requirements. Eligibility and offerings are governed by applicable policies and employment regulations.

This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program and does not guarantee continued or permanent employment following program completion.
