Job summary

PSC Biotech Dublin seeks a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician for an 11-month contract to support laboratory operations and uphold quality and compliance standards in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.

You will perform routine laboratory duties, assist with calibration, sample handling, documentation, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet client timelines and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification, science subjects preferred.
• Level 6/7 qualification in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate as part of the QC team performing laboratory duties.
• Participate in QC daily meetings and communicate progress.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, policies and procedures.
• Assist with audit/inspection readiness and documentation.
• Support analysts with materials handling and solution prep.
• Maintain clean, organized lab stations and dispose of waste properly.

Requirements

Role Functions:

• Operate as part of the QC team performing the allocatedlaboratory-based duties.
  
• Participate in QC daily meetings and ensure effectivecommunication of laboratory task progress.
  
• Ensure that all Quality Systems within the department arealways adhered to.
  
• Ensure compliance with Global Policies, Procedures andGuidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current good manufacturingPractices (cGMP) in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicablejob functions, including maintenance of accurate records.
  
• Participate in problem solving to get to root cause ofissues.
  
• Provide support with audit/inspection requirements toensure department compliance/readiness.
  
• Assist analysts with tasks such as gathering materials,labelling, preparing solutions, disposing of solutions, etc.
  
• Generate, review and archive of documentation asappropriate.
  
• Participate in laboratory-based duties as required,including but not limited to, pH calibrations, balance calibrations, gatheringmaterials, labelling, preparing solutions.
  
• Assist with sample management, sample disposal and expirycheck tasks.
  
• Wash and dry glassware and distributes to appropriatelocations in the laboratories.
  
• Maintain glass washing areas, keeping them clean andorganized.
  
• Remove pharmaceutical waste from the laboratories.
  
• Ensures lab stations are clean, organized and properlystocked with supplies.
  
• Perform laboratory Gembas, ensuring 5S compliance.
  
• Collaborating with others by sharing your skill set andexpertise
  
• Build on presentation skills and participate in sitemetrics
  
• Possibility of performing shift operations in line withbusiness needs
  

Experience:

• Minimum: Level 5 qualification (or equivalentsecondary school credential), preferably with passing marks in science subjects(e.g., Chemistry, Biology, or Physics).
  
• Preferred: Level 6 or Level 7 qualification inChemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology or a relatedscientific discipline.
