Job description

EZ Living Furniture was founded in Galway in 1998. We are a family run Irish retailer operating nationwide, as well as a full online shopping experience offering delivery throughout Ireland. We are the largest independent Furniture Retailer in Ireland employing over 350 people.

We wish to hire a Purchasing specialist. This role will be based in our head office in Briarhill Galway.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Place purchase orders to maintain adequate stock levels while monitoring warehouse capacity.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate and resolve purchasing or stock-related issues promptly.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date records in procurement and inventory systems
  • Assist with evaluating and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Help resolve supplier issues and discrepancies promptly to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Follow procurement processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Review procurement data to spot patterns and trends that support better decision-making.
  • Use insights to suggest improvements in processes and efficiency.
  • Prepare clear reports on purchasing activity and costs.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance in procurement systems.
Skills And Experience
  • Qualification in purchasing or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills - Problem-solving, Critical Thinking, Communication.
  • Comfortable making informed decisions when needed.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to work accurately with figures, pricing, and data
