Responsibilities

  • Lead publication and content programs across assigned therapeutic areas.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of global publication and scientific content initiatives.
  • Partner with Portfolio Scientific Communications and SMEs to develop robust content.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Manage complex project plans: timelines, milestones, budgets, agencies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to maintain quality and timelines.
  • Ensure governance and compliance with internal standards and publication practices.
  • Establish effective ways of working and escalation pathways.
  • Champion digital transformation and AI-enabled content development.
  • Monitor program performance and seek improvements.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships in a global matrixed organization.

Job description

PE Global are recruiting for a Publications & Content Manager for our pharmaceutical client based in Dublin CC. This is an initial 6 month contract role. Hybrid working options.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead publication and content programs across assigned therapeutic areas, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into clear, integrated and executable plans.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of global publication and scientific content initiatives, from planning and briefing through development, review, approval and final delivery.
  • Partner with Portfolio Scientific Communications and subject-matter experts to develop compelling, scientifically robust content aligned to the Scientific Communications Platform.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Commercial and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Manage complex project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, agencies and external partners where applicable.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues and managing competing priorities to maintain quality and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure rigorous governance and compliance, embedding relevant internal standards, regulatory requirements and publication practices throughout the content-development lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain effective ways of working, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, decision rights, review processes and escalation pathways.
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation, identifying opportunities to leverage digital technologies, automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve the efficiency, quality and scalability of content development.
  • Support rapid adoption of new technologies and practices, ensuring innovative approaches are implemented responsibly and in accordance with applicable compliance and governance requirements.
  • Monitor program performance and delivery, using appropriate metrics and insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes and maintaining alignment within a highly matrixed and globally distributed organization.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and excellence, consistently challenging existing approaches and seeking opportunities to improve the quality, impact and efficiency of scientific communications.
Educations & Experience
  • Significant experience in scientific communications, medical communications, publications, content management or a related pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex, global, cross-functional programs in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of publication planning, scientific content development and relevant industry standards, including Good Publication Practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, stakeholders and dependencies simultaneously.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on execution and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and drive decisions without direct authority.
  • Experience working within regulated environments and a strong understanding of the importance of scientific integrity, compliance and governance.
  • Demonstrated interest in digital innovation, automation and emerging AI technologies, with an ability to identify practical opportunities for their application.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with a track record of introducing new approaches, processes or technologies to improve outcomes.
