Job summary

The Boeing Company in Ireland is seeking a Project Engineer to lead aircraft modification programs, driving safety, quality and technical excellence across multi-timezone teams. You will collaborate with customers and Boeing Global Services engineering and programme management to deliver compliant, on-schedule solutions.

The role requires strong aerospace experience, knowledge of EASA requirements and fluency in English.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors.
  • 5+ years in aviation/aerospace preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical teams in the design and certification of aircraft modifications.
  • Be the primary technical focal in assigned modification projects.
  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager(s).
  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, MROs, regulators and teams to deliver on time and budget.
  • Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Support ITCM, PDR and CDR meetings and chair technical reviews.
  • Report project health and assist with resource planning.

Help us lead the future of commercial aircraft modification in our Boeing Global Services (BGS) EASA Modifications IPT (Integrated Project Team). We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead modification programs in driving safety, quality and technical excellence using innovation and best practices to deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Although occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required

we are looking for people who can work from Dublin (Ireland).

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our modification teams who develop, certify and integrate commercial aircraft modification solutions such as cabin interior changes, IFE upgrades and other changes. The candidate will be working directly with customers while collaborating with BGS global engineering and Programme Management teams across multiple time-zones.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead technical teams in the design and certification of aircraft modifications
  • Be the primary technical focal in assigned modification projects
  • Provide technical support to the Project Manager/s assigned to the modification project/s
  • Work closely with customers, outside vendors, MROs regulatory agencies and other teams within the company to create engineering solutions that exceed customer expectations on time and within budget.
  • Provide independent advice to support the development of safe, compliant and practical solutions across all modification projects
  • Identify key technical risks and mitigation strategies
  • Support project ITCM, PDR and CDR meetings. Chair technical review meetings, Provide status reporting on project health. Manage project technical Risks, Issues and Opportunities. Support functional engineering managers in resource planning and assignment. Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors is essential.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Minimum 5-years aviation/aerospace (or related) industry experience
  • Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of EASA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO, CS-25, CS-25, CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organisations
  • Ability to work on multiple programmes with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively
  • A recognized aeronautical or engineering degree, however other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications will be considered based on technical knowledge and experience
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken.
