Job summary

AECOM in Dublin is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor (Buildings) to join our Cost Management team. You will deliver cost management and commercial advice across projects from inception to completion, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring value for money while meeting programme, quality, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience administering and working with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  • Experience in measurement and quantification, including the use of CostX software.
  • Experience in the preparation of Bills of Quantities and cost planning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cost management services throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and feasibility studies.
  • Assist with procurement strategies and tender documentation.
  • Manage tender processes, analyse bids, and prepare tender reports.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities and other contract documentation where required.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reporting.
  • Assess variations, change control, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Administer construction contracts in accordance with the relevant forms of contract.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks throughout project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support senior team members in delivering complex, high-value projects.
  • Mentor graduate quantity surveyors where appropriate.

At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor:Buildings to join our established and growing Cost Management team in our Dublin office.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality cost management and commercial advice, ensuring clients achieve value for money while meeting programme, quality, and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Here's what we're looking for:

As the successful candidate, you will have experience working across a range of sectors and will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Membership of, or working towards membership of, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent professional body.
  • Experience administering and working with JCT and NEC forms of contract.
  • Experience in measurement and quantification, including the use of CostX software.
  • Experience in the preparation of Bills of Quantities and cost planning
