Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead planning and design of transport projects in Ireland. Based in Dublin or Dundalk, you will manage road, rail and public transport schemes and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver feasible, value-for-money designs.

You will interact with statutory and procurement processes, prepare contract documents, and oversee construction supervision and commercial management while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering and Chartered Engineer status are required.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is essential.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary transportation projects and teams.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

We are seeking a Project Manager with relevant experience in planning and design of transport projects. The candidate will join our growing Transportation business and will be based in our Dublin or Dundalk office. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, willing to take on responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.

Your role

• The role will involve the management, planning and design of road, rail, public transport and active travel projects throughout Ireland, input to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO etc), procurement processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration, construction supervision and commercial management.

About you

• Relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Educated to degree level in engineering (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design standard and ability to translate this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.
• Experience in the management, planning and design of transportation schemes (preferably in Ireland) including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contact administration of Public Works and/or NEC Contracts, construction supervision and commercial management.
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design teams and projects.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and work to a budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes.
