Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Management team, working with clients on exciting infrastructure programmes. You should have extensive experience in utilities/drainage sectors and a track record of delivering on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Deliver identified capital projects with focus on budget, schedule and quality.

• Procure and direct consultants across civil, mechanical, electrical, and water/wastewater.
• Oversee estimation, planning, procurement, and cash flow controls.
• Manage day-to-day construction delivery and contractor oversight.

Due to continued growth in our Project Management team in Ireland we are looking to appoint a Project Manager to work with our client on the delivery of exciting infrastructure projects. You should have experience within the utilities/drainage sector.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the delivery of identified Capital projects with the focus on budget, schedule and quality output;
• Drive the management of project design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, including Design & Build stage;
• Manage directly, and in certain circumstances liaise with others in the management of stakeholders to ensure project timescales are met;
• Procure, manage and direct a diverse range of consultant expertise across a multi‑disciplinary set of skills including Engineering Design (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Water & Wastewater Process, Structural), Environmental, Archaeological, and Quantity Surveying;
• Oversee the management of project estimation and project planning including all relevant statutory processes, and procurement management, working closely with all IW departments including Asset Management, Asset Operations, HSQE, Communications and Customer Operations;
• Accountable for management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring Consultant supervision where relevant and approving all payment certificates;
• Manage production and approval of project delivery plans, cash flow projections and earned value analysis;
• Responsible for the day‑to‑day management of construction service providers for capital projects, including conformance and compliance;

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects ideally experience in large drainage/civil projects.
• Strong knowledge and experience of project management, contract management.
• Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and drive performance.
• Experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
