Job summary

Flynn is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Leinster teams. You will manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery to the highest quality, safety and client satisfaction standards.

Ideal candidates hold a third-level qualification in engineering or construction management and have over five years of experience managing large commercial construction projects, including new build and fit-out, with strong numeracy and reporting skills.

Qualifications

  • Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline is required.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex construction projects (commercial, new build and fit-out).
  • Experience in Design and Building Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update construction programme with Contracts Manager and achieve milestones.
  • Technical lead to coach and mentor project team.
  • Determine staff resources and communicate with team.
  • Implement safety system and foster safety culture on site.
  • Manage project quality and ensure build standards.
  • Control project costs and prelims/packages.
  • Collaborate with commercial team to meet objectives.
  • Maintain client relationships and inform on claims/delays.

We are currently seeking experienced and talented Project Managers to join our high performing project teams in the Leinster region. REPORTING TO: Contracts Manager
Purpose of Role

As a Project Manager with Flynn, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion ensuring that your project team deliver on time and on budget to the highest standard of quality, safety & client satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and update the construction programme with the Contracts Manager and ensure your project meets key milestones.
  • Technical lead with the ability to coach and mentor the project team.
  • Determine staff resources for your project and communicate effectively with your team.
  • Implement Flynn's Safety System and establish an excellent safety culture on your project.
  • Manage project quality over the lifecycle and ensure build quality meets expectations.
  • Ensure project costs are managed and prelims / packages are tightly controlled.
  • Work with the commercial team to deliver agreed commercial objectives for your project.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the client team; keep them informed of claims & delays.
The Candidate
  • Third level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience managing complex construction projects on commercial projects, including General Contracting (New Build) and Fit-Out projects.
  • Experience working in Design and Building Experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan & deliver a complex project.
  • Technically strong with excellent numeracy and report writing skills
  • Ability to build & maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders
  • Understands commercial realities; proposes cost-effective solutions
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS office, project, (or similar scheduling package)
