  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures to ensure consistency and quality from design through to construction and handover.
  • Manage the performance and quality of the design and construction work by the Contractor and monitor the progress against the programme of works.
  • Review the Contractor design Submissions, interface requirements, equipment and material Submissions.
  • Facilitate the design process by managing the exchange of interface details, technical clarifications, and technical information requests (RFI), as well as handling technical changes and scope variations.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and implementing strategic solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Lead and/or provide input to regular meetings and/or workshops relating to the design review and technical assurance processes, constructability reviews, hazard and risk assessments, safety, and maintainability reviews.
  • Work alongside the Function and Interface Engineers to ensure that technical issues are the requirements are clearly presented and interfaced by all discipline Engineers in the System design reviews.
  • Maintain own records for the status of each activity under direct management. Evaluate, present and share all such information and contractor reports with the senior management of the employer and engineer of the programme in a clear and concise manner.
  • Review and/or prepare various reports and other correspondence related to project technical issues, defects, schedules and interfaces.
