Job summary

Circet Ireland & UK is hiring a Project Accountant for our Data Centre Services, based at the GHQ in Clondalkin, Co. Dublin.

You will manage the financial performance of multiple hyperscale projects, support PMO budgets and forecasts, and ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition. Key responsibilities include monthly reporting to senior leadership, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and audit preparation.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in project accounting or financial planning and analysis is desirable.
  • Proficiency with financial reporting and month-end close processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor financial performance of multiple projects.
  • Support budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections and profitability analysis.
  • Review PMO valuation tracking of project costs incl. travel, labour, suppliers and materials.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues to projects and maintain audit files.
  • Support monthly revenue recognition, including WIP calculations and accruals.
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports for senior leadership and variance analysis.
  • Track budget vs actual costs and highlight overruns for corrective action.
  • Collaborate on KPI dashboards and forecasting for Hyperscale projects.

Job description

We are hiring! Circet Ireland are hiring for a Project Accountant for our Data Centre Services. This position will be based out of our GHQ in Clondalkin, Co.Dublin

Key Responsibilities
Project Financial Monitoring
  • Monitor financial performance of multiple projects.
  • Support the PMO Team on project budgets, forecasts, cashflow projections and profitability analysis.
  • Review and audit the PMO valuation tracking of project costs including travel, labour, supplier of services, materials, equipment, and other third-party services on Hyperscale projects.
  • Review and audit costs on microscale projects.
  • Ensure accurate allocation of costs and revenues to individual projects.
  • Maintaining audit files for all projects - producing files for internal/external audits.
  • Support monthly revenue recognition process, including WIP (Work in Progress) calculations and accruals.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Project Financial Summary Report - Produce monthly project financial reports for senior leadership. Project profitability, highlights on overspend or margin erosion, these will be used in monthly finance and operations reviews.
  • Budget vs Actual Cost Report - Track actual spends against approved project budgets, reports on cost overruns, supports PMO corrective action.
  • WIP (Work in Progress) Report - Tracking Hyperscale timing differences between costs incurred, revenue recognised, customer and supplier invoicing. Important for month-end accounting and audit support.
  • Cash Flow Forecast Report - Ensure adequate working capital, assist in supplier payment timing, critical for Hyperscale projects.
  • Change Order / Variation Tracker - Working with the PMO team on reporting any changes to the scope of the project, ensuring additional work is invoiced.
  • Project Margin Analysis Report - Profitability trends, original margin vs current forecast margin.
  • Work with PMO on KPI Dashboard - Revenue delivered, GM%, Budget Utilisation %, Invoice collection days, Forecast completion %.
  • Forecast at Completion - Forecasting final project profitability.
  • Monthly Reporting Pack for Hyperscale Projects - Working with PMO to gather this information - Executive summary, financial summary dashboard, Budget vs Actual Analysis, WIP schedule, Revenue recognition report, cashflow forecast, variance commentary, change order register, forecast & completion.
