Job summary

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) is recruiting a Programme Facilitator for The Bridge, Kilcullen. This permanent, part-time role (35 hours/week) offers a competitive salary and the chance to work within a leading national organisation supporting people with disabilities.

Requirements include QQI Level 6 or equivalent, 2 years' experience with vulnerable adults, and a full driving licence with access to a car.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification at Level 6 or above on the QQI Framework - or equivalent qualification in Community/Health, Social Care or Education.
• Have 2 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
• An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role.
• An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
• Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
• An ability to contribute towards the support, coaching, managing, motivating and developing a mixed workforce of volunteers and employees.

What you will need:

• Have 2 years experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
• An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
• Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
• An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE. A willingness to work in promoting this model within your role.
